Amsterdam, Netherlands

We arrived in Amsterdam around 11 AM and dropped off our luggage at the hotel. Next we ate lunch at KFC and then headed over the Van Gogh museum to see Starry Night (Kyle’s favorite painting). After visiting the museum we walked over to the Heineken Brewery but decided to save the 15 Euros it cost to take a tour and head over to the Hard Rock Café to have a snack and pick up a shot glass for Cody.

After eating a snack, onion rings and french fries, we walked through the streets. We had heard from friends that the scenery in Amsterdam is absolutely gorgeous and they were right! After hours of walking around, we went back to the hotel and fell asleep immediately.

The next morning we started off visiting the Anne Frank house. This was what I (Rachel) was looking forward to the most. I read the book in 4th or 5th grade and loved it, so it was neat seeing where the events actually occurred. Then we did some shopping next to our hotel.

After that we headed over to the Red Light District just to see what it was like. To say the least, it was different. None of us had ever seen anything like what lined the street of the Red Light District. We caught a night train at 7 pm to Copenhagen.
